What Causes Pain during Sexual Intercourse?

Due to the uniqueness of a woman’s body, it is easy to cause damage to the uterus and vagina if one is not careful. Therefore, women must take care of their reproductive system and seek treatment promptly if any problems arise. Sexual intercourse is an essential aspect of a woman’s life, but what causes pain during intimate moments with one’s partner?

Firstly, there are numerous reasons which can cause pain during sexual intercourse. The most typical change is when endometriosis nodules are located on the levator ani near the vaginal fornix. In addition, pelvic inflammatory disease can cause adhesions in the posterior peritoneum. One main reason is the inadequate preparation before sexual intercourse. Pain during sexual intercourse is primarily caused by insufficient vaginal lubrication, resulting in pain when the penis penetrates the cervix and stimulating the internal organs and abdominal vibration, ultimately leading to pain. Lack of lubrication can also lead to various diseases such as genital and urinary infections, developmental anomalies, and structural abnormalities.

Secondly, anxiety, endometritis, pelvic organ inflammation, localized scars, insufficient foreplay, adhesions in the pelvic area, localized scars in the female pelvic organs, anxiety, lack of concentration, and inadequate lubrication of the vagina can all cause pain during sexual intercourse. These can be due to various factors such as genital and urinary infections, developmental abnormalities, endometritis and pelvic inflammatory diseases which cause abdominal vibration and internal organ stimulation, uterus, ovary swelling or tumor, and uterine contractions.

Furthermore, in the absence of organic diseases, endometriosis nodules are usually the cause when they are located near the vaginal fornix on the plantar fascia tendon. Moreover, pelvic inflammatory disease can cause adhesions in the posterior peritoneum, whereas depression caused by routine life is a slow process. Cervix inflammation can also be a contributing factor.

In summary, it is crucial to prepare adequately for sexual intercourse, avoid anxiety, and seek prompt treatment for any conditions that may arise to prevent pain during sexual intercourse.
